Appaz is a very informal, shortened way of saying apparently. You might see it in messages, on social media, or hear it among younger speakers, especially in British-style internet English: Appaz it's cancelled. It does the same job as apparently — “this seems to be true,” or “this is what people say” — but it is casual and a bit playful. You would not write it in school work or in a formal email. Though actually, even among friends, many people still just write apparently; appaz is one of those clipped joke-spellings, like soz for sorry and tomoz for tomorrow. Older speakers may not use it at all. If you have not heard it, that does not mean you have missed a “real” formal word. It is slang on the edge of apparently.
