    Any person at all; used in questions, negative sentences, and 'if' sentences when it does not matter which person.

    「anybody」跟 anyone 完全一樣，意思是「隨便哪一個人都算」。它最常出現在問句（Is anybody home?）和否定句（I don't know anybody here）裡。可以想成它把「人」的範圍打到最開——不指定是誰，任何一個都行。

Picture a door left open with no name on it: whoever walks through will do, because the identity genuinely does not matter. That open-ended feeling is why the word lives in questions, negatives, and if-sentences — places where the person has not been settled yet.
