Anti-aircraft describes weapons and systems made to stop enemy aircraft — planes, and now often helicopters and drones. Guns on the ground pointing up, missiles that chase a plane, and the radar that finds it are all anti-aircraft. People say “anti-aircraft guns,” “anti-aircraft fire,” “anti-aircraft defence.” It is a military and news word. In older British military talk you may also hear “ack-ack” for the same idea. Though actually it is not “against the air”: it is against machines that fly. It does not mean a person who dislikes . You will also see the short form AA in army writing.
「anti-aircraft」形容用來擊落敵方飛機的武器和系統，飛機、直升機、無人機都算。地面上朝天的砲、追著飛機的飛彈，以及找出飛機的雷達，都屬於這一類。常見的說法像「anti-aircraft guns」（防空砲）和「anti-aircraft defence」（防空系統）。
