    An anklet is jewellery worn around the ankle, as a bracelet is worn around the wrist. It may be a chain, beads, or a stiff ring. Some people wear one for looks; in some places it also has a traditional meaning. It is a simple object word. It is not a medical support, not the electronic tag some people must wear, and not a “little ankle” — the ending works like the one on bracelet.
