- 1安格斯（蘇格蘭東岸的郡）。台灣更常聽到的是安格斯牛／安格斯牛排，那個牛種就跟這地方有關。
Angus is a county in central eastern Scotland, with a coast on the North Sea. Today it is run as a council area. Towns there include Forfar, Arbroath, and Montrose. Dundee sits right beside it but is its own city, not inside Angus. The English name is an old spelling of Scottish Aonghas, which may have meant something like “one choice.” Though actually, if you live in Taiwan, you will meet Angus far more often on a menu than on a map. Angus cattle — often called Aberdeen Angus — were bred in this part of Scotland, and that is why a steak can carry the name. The same word is also a common man’s name in Scotland and Ireland. This entry is the place: a stretch of eastern Scotland by the North Sea, not the feeling-word , and not only the beef.
組成English form of Scottish Gaelic Aonghas, perhaps literally “one choice.”
