Anaemia is a medical word for when your blood cannot carry enough oxygen around the body. Often there are not enough healthy red blood cells, or not enough of the iron-rich stuff inside them. A person with anaemia may look pale, feel very tired, get out of breath on the stairs, or feel cold and dizzy.
