    Almighty means having complete, unlimited power — able to do anything. Its most common serious use is as a name for God: 'God Almighty' or simply 'the Almighty.' But in everyday, informal English, people also use it as a strong , almost like 'huge' or 'terrible' — 'there was an almighty crash' means a very loud, very big crash, with no religious meaning at all.
