Airflow is the way air moves through or around something — a steady stream, not just “there is air.” You meet it with machines and bodies: air flowing through an engine, over a car or a plane, through a building’s vents, or in and out of your lungs. Designers care about good airflow so a room does not feel stale, a laptop does not get too hot, or a plane moves smoothly. The word is a little technical, but the idea is plain: air on the move, in a path. It is almost always a noun (the airflow), not a verb. People do not often use it for a breeze outside; they save it for air moving in a designed space or around a shaped object.
