Affinity is a natural liking or feeling of closeness toward something or someone - you might have an affinity for music, meaning you naturally connect with it and enjoy it easily, without having to force yourself. It can also describe things that are naturally similar or work well together, like two ideas, or two chemicals with an affinity for one another.
