Adore means to love someone or something very much, often with a feeling of admiration, as if they are wonderful or almost perfect. You can adore a person ('she adores her grandchildren'), or use it more lightly for things you really like ('I adore this song'). In casual speech, especially about food, clothes, or small things, 'adore' can feel a bit — like saying 'I love it so much' with extra excitement, not deep, serious love.
