  1. 1無酸的（無酸紙）

    Acid-free paper and paper products are made so that they do not contain acid. Ordinary cheap paper often does, and over the years it turns yellow and becomes brittle. Acid-free paper is meant to last, so libraries, museums, and people who keep photos, drawings, or important papers use it. You will see the words on art paper, albums, and boxes for storage. It is a shop-and-workshop word, not a word for casual chat. Though actually, acid-free does not mean “no chemicals at all,” and the tidy label does not always mean museum quality — it means the paper is not acidic, so it should not slowly destroy itself, or what you keep in it. If you are keeping something precious, people look for acid-free and, often, lignin-free too.

    這個字的意思是無酸的，指紙在製作時不含酸。一般便宜的紙常含酸，過了幾年會發黃、變脆。所以圖書館、博物館，以及想保存照片、畫作或重要文件的人，都會用無酸紙。這個字常出現在美術紙、相本和收納盒上，是店家或工作室的用語，不是日常閒聊會說的字。
