If a person is accommodating, they are helpful in a soft way: they say yes to what you want, they change the time or the plan a little, they make space for you. We use it of people first — a host, a teacher, a shop worker — and also of hours and plans that are easy to live with. It is usually praise. Though actually, if we say someone is too accommodating, we may be a little worried: they never say no, and other people walk over them. It is the -ing adjective from the verb accommodate, the ‘make it fit’ verb. It is not the hotel-room word. You can be accommodating without giving anyone a bed.
