1. 1

Acapulco is a city on Mexico’s west coast, on the Pacific Ocean, long known as a holiday place: beaches, hotels, warm sea. In the middle of the last century it was a glamorous stop for film stars; people still go for the water and the cliffs. In English it is simply that city’s name, always with a capital A. You may also meet it in the names of food or drinks that want a Mexican, seaside feeling.
