Absurdly means in a way that surprises you because it is unreasonable, or because it goes much too far. People use it a great deal as a degree word, sitting in front of an adjective: absurdly cheap, absurdly long, absurdly young, absurdly proud. It can sound light, even a bit teasing, or it can sound like a real complaint — the voice does the work. It is ordinary English, not a theatre specialist’s word. You are not saying the thing is Absurdist art; you are saying it does not match what a reasonable person would expect.
