An abomination is a person or thing you find extremely offensive or unacceptable — so wrong, ugly, or cruel that it should not be. People use it for buildings they , laws they think are wicked, food they cannot bear, and, in older religious English, for practices said to be hateful to God. It is a heavy, judging word. Calling a person an abomination is an attack, not a cool description. You will hear it from angry critics and from church language more than from calm everyday talk.
組成From Middle French abomination, from Late Latin abominatio. Same family as abominable: the feeling of pushing something away as a bad sign.
