In text messages and casual chat, 1 can stand in for the word one, because the digit is that number and, in some spellings, it plays a sound-alike game. The classic pattern is SUM1 for someone, also NE1 for anyone, NO1 for no one. You write it with other letter-number tricks (l8r, 2nite). It belongs to phones, comments, and very informal English; you would not put SUM1 in a school essay. Though actually, 1 is not a new word with its own grammar — it is the doing a job in a little picture-spelling. People still say someone out loud, not “sum-one.” Older texting (when each letter cost something) used this a lot; younger writers mix it with and may use it less, but the SUM1 type is still widely understood.
