    This is a playful short form of attitude. Here attitude does not mean “your opinion”. It means a bold, cool way of standing and acting — the feeling that you can do something unusual or and you do not mind what other people think. Pop magazines once wrote She's got 'tude with a smile. It is humorous and a little old-fashioned now. Though actually, it is only attitude with the front cut off; it is not a new idea, and it is not the ending you see in words like latitude. Keep it out of serious writing.
